What is The STAR Project?
Yellow Door's STAR Project was established in 2000, and has since developed into an award-winning education and outreach programme working across Southampton and western Hampshire. STAR works with children and young people in schools, universities, community centres and other youth settings, aiming to spark conversations that get young people thinking about what healthy relationships look like, as well as how to recognise and get help with unhealthy relationships or situations. The team delivers fun and interactive sessions on an array of topics, designed to reflect on the everyday realities of young people in contemporary life. Each STAR session is an informative, preventative workshop, giving young people the understanding and tools they need to stay safe, and build respectful healthy relationships now and in the future.
