Tikva's Little Book of Hope
When award winning children's author Emma Shevah arrived in Odessa, Ukraine in order to research a new book, she didn't know what to expect. This film follows Emma as she meets the children at Tikva's children's homes and schools, and follows her as she discovers the circumstances that brought these children to Tikva in the first place.
From the darkest places of despair, homelessness, neglect and abuse, Emma learns that the children who get rescued by Tikva are truly given a second chance at life. Through the medical treatment, psychological care, education, nourishment - but mainly through love and friendship, these children are finding new hope for a brighter future.
