How human rights in the NHS protect everyone
Our little animation was made with a junior doctor talking about the ways that human rights help doctors and nurses to ensure we're all looked after in the NHS. It was created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS and the 70th anniversary of the universal declaration of human rights. Both institutions were put together by the survivors of World War 2 to make sure we could all look after each other in better ways. We wanted to raise the profile of the fabulous work done by medical practitioners and to create a resource that would help as an education resource for training for medical staff. With the help of Katy Ross from Gobblyne animation - beautiful animated characters illustrate the experiences of Dr Sarah Simons as we travel with her around hospital locations.
