The Daisy Garland - Capturing the essence of our work

When your child receives an epilepsy diagnosis the bottom drops out of your world…

Presented by Daisy’s mum, Sara, our charity film captures the essence of the life-changing work we do for some of the 18,000 children in the UK suffering from drug-resistant epilepsy – a condition that shortens and destroys lives.

As The Daisy Garland story unfolds, it becomes clear how our passion, commitment and drive has brought the ketogenic diet, a medical-led dietary treatment, to the forefront in the UK. The ketogenic diet transforms lives.

Families contacting us for support are scared and lonely, often on the edge of coping. Careworn and exhausted from sleep deprivation and the stress of living with epilepsy, our breathing monitor programme gives parents peace of mind and saves lives.

Family support is our number one priority. We pull out all the stops to do everything we can to help break down the isolation and loneliness that comes hand in hand with epilepsy. Our strapline ‘A journey of hope… for children with epilepsy’ shines through in all we do.

The film gives benefactors/fundraisers a clear insight on how the impact of our work is changing and transforming the lives of 1000’s families nationwide.
