"Thank you from St Andrew's Hospice Ruby Edition" (our 40th anniversary)

The St Andrew’s Hospice ‘Thank You’ video is part of the hospice’s 40th anniversary celebrations and also reflects the children’s hospice service, Andy’s, which coincidentally ‘came of age’ (18 years!) in 2019.

It was designed to be told in the words of patients, staff and service users, with a heartfelt ‘thank you’ from them to the many supporters that make the work of St Andrew’s possible.

A key message was the breadth of services, care and support offered, and to tell the story of what that care and support means to those accessing it. The words are from the heart, they are not scripted, not edited and not acted.

The film also raises awareness of the cost of running the services, and conveys a special thanks to all of those without whom the hospice could not do its work; ultimately reminding everyone that this is only possible if a range of support (donations, volunteering etc) continues to be forthcoming.

Costing less than a few hundred pounds to make, viewers are asked to watch the film to the very end, giving them the full experience of the depth of emotion that the participants wanted to convey, which is priceless.
