Sightsavers: What We Do

At Sightsavers, we’re best known for our work to protect sight. Yet we do so much more: we also treat and prevent debilitating diseases, fight for disability rights and promote inclusive education.

Our What We Do film, voiced by Sightsavers celebrity ambassador Sunetra Sarker, introduces these varied areas of work, tying them together in an engaging film that promotes our life-changing mission.

It gives a sense of the dynamism, optimism and progress involved in Sightsavers’ projects around the world and of our determination to make a difference, working with partners, donors and supporters worldwide. It shows how the seemingly impossible numbers involved in global problems really are surmountable, and how we can tackle them.

The voices in the film are diverse, representing our global nature and the array of people on whom we depend to make an impact. These include technical experts, programme staff, project participants and beneficiaries, as well as high-profile donors and supporters.

The film captures the scale of our projects across more than 30 countries, giving a snapshot of some of our greatest achievements that have changed the lives of millions of people. It captures the spirit of a movement we are proud to be part of.
