Richmond Volunteer Fair 2019
‘Volunteering is a brilliant way of meeting new people, learning new skills and giving something back to the community. I found the perfect role for me at the volunteer fair’.
This short film was made to raise the profile of volunteering, the benefits and opportunities available, and the Richmond Volunteer Service which is run by Richmond CVS. The Richmond Volunteer Fair is an annual event, which takes place during Volunteers Week, and creates an informal marketplace in the heart of the community. Over 40 organisations showcased their services and volunteer roles this year and boosted their volunteer recruitment and local profile. The film was made on less than a shoestring, using free online tools and, as such, also serves to let our network know of simple, affordable ways to develop their own marketing and promotion. The film is a snapshot of a handful of happy moments from our event and we hope individuals are inspired and encouraged to find out more about volunteering and benefit from the local service we provide.
