Presto! Giving musical talent a chance

At Awards for Young Musicians (AYM) we know that musical talent is everywhere but opportunity isn’t. Right now, there are so many talented children who aren’t getting the chance to experience a musical life. Whether it’s because of a lack of income or other obstacles, many children with a natural instinct for music are denied the chance to progress because their musical potential is neither spotted nor supported. At AYM, we find these children, nurture their emerging talent and inspire them to reach their musical goals

Our Presto! film was released to raise awareness of our matched funding campaign by the same name, through which monthly donations made by individuals to the charity are doubled for 12 months by The Garfield Weston Foundation.

Voiced by AYM's Programme Manager, Neil Phillips and produced by young filmmakers Weyside Productions, Presto! features footage from AYM's Awards and Furthering Talent Programmes.

Awards for Young Musicians is a founder member of the Alliance for a Musically Inclusive England (AMIE): a growing network of organisations working together to promote equity in music education and to support others to do the same through advocacy, CPD, resources, and strategic alliances.
