Not a Numbers Game
Why are members of the South Asian community less likely to use palliative care services than other ethnic groups? From language barriers to ingrained beliefs that families should 'care for their own', this documentary explores the actual and perceived barriers faced by Wolverhampton's South Asian community.
Lead by Wolverhampton palliative care provider and charity Compton Care, this film takes a raw and unfiltered look into the experiences of real people and offers a series of solutions to ensure those diagnosed with an incurable illness are able to access the care and support they need and deserve.
Funded by The National Big Lottery Community Fund and supported by Hospice UK this documentary was first aired on September 25th 2019.
