Melody's Story (Kenya)

Click here to watch the Live Stream at 7pm

13-year-old Melody is an incredible young woman who is leading other children in her community in Kangoro, Kenya. When she was younger, Melody faced many challenges and struggled with her sense of belonging. Now, with the support of her community and family, she has the self-confidence to get to where she wants to be!

It is so important that vulnerable children like Melody can open up and talk about their situation. That's why, at WeSeeHope we are equipping community volunteers to provide counselling and emotional support through our Kids' Club Programme in 80 communities across Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Using drama, dance and other activities at Kids’ Club, children are encouraged to share their problems and helped to build their confidence.

We are an international development organisation committed to creating sustainable and community-led change for vulnerable in Southern and Eastern Africa through education, child rights and economic empowerment initiatives. Our aim is to ensure they have the skills to change their own futures, and we work with their families and communities to make sure they are supported along the way.
