Love, Care and a Home
The Peace Centre Uganda (a registered UK charity and a registered Ugandan NGO) provides love, care and a home to vulnerable children and orphans in South-West Uganda. We provide a small, close-knit family environment for 40 double orphans - a safe environment where they can flourish - and ensure that all of our children are sent to school to receive a good education. Our aim is to ensure that all of our children are provided good medical care, given three nutritious meals day and have a right to play after school. Each child is seen as an individual with their own skills and talents which we nurture through our vocational programmes, giving each of them the opportunity for a bright and healthy future. We believe in the right to education. Sadly, being born into poverty can prevent children in Uganda from going to school, so we also provide scholarships for children in the community who have a place to live, but not the means to go to school. All money donated goes directly to the organisation in Uganda, as our admin team in the UK are all volunteers: your money goes where it is most needed.
