Kokoly - Amplifying the voices of small-scale fishers on the front line of a changing climate!
Against a backdrop of extreme poverty, personal loss and a marine environment changing beyond her control, Kokoly lives on a knife-edge.
Filmed across 4 months in southwest Madagascar, our new short film follows traditional Vezo fisherwoman Madame Kokoly as she goes about her daily routine and reflects on the shocking change she has seen in her life. Blue Ventures works with coastal communities to rebuild tropical fisheries and desires to amplify the voices of people that rely on the sea for survival.
