Khulisa - Placing wellbeing at the heart of support for young people
Khulisa is a small charity supporting the most vulnerable and traumatised young people in the UK.
This video was created to highlight how young people are impacted by school exclusion, adverse childhood experiences and trauma. With the support of ‘Face It’, Khulisa's award-winning wellbeing programme for young people in schools and Pupil Referral Units, we help vulnerable young people to build self-confidence, self-awareness and help them recognise and manage their triggers to anger or violent behaviour.
By supporting our work, you enable us to give people a second chance in life. Our programmes really transform lives; participants who complete a Khulisa programme are 4 times less likely to re-offend, they report improved self confidence, increased motivation and an overall increase in physical and emotional well-being.
Donating £25 would cover the cost for a child with complex needs to be assessed. £50 is enough to provide 3 hours of therapeutic support to a child with complex needs. Offering £100 can support one child complete a day on our wellbeing programme ‘Face It’.
