"Imagine If"

Our aim is to educate, inform and encourage action to improve animal welfare by showing audiences what common ground we share with animals. This can. in turn, help encourage long-term change in attitudes and behaviours. It delivers a simple message about animal emotions, demonstrating the connection between emotions and an animal’s welfare, highlighting how poor care can result in feelings such as loneliness or stress and consequently animal suffering.

Our "Imagine If" video asks us to imagine how we would feel if we were kept in poor conditions in captivity. We want people to empathise with animals as empathy encourages understanding and understanding encourages action. Whether it is action from the public or action from animal carers, making an empathetic connection between ourselves and individual animals and truly understanding how animals think, feel and experience helps inspire the most effective and long lasting action needed for improvement.

As well as instilling empathy, Wild Welfare carries out many global training workshops in countries with limited expertise in animal welfare and often widespread apathy towards animal care. Our video will help foster greater understanding and compassion within the very people we need to care most about wild animals in captivity.
