How we support the Armed Forces community through lifelong challenges
We wanted to show the lifelong challenges that people leaving the armed forces face, and that the Royal British Legion helps with those challenges. We wanted to show that veterans are strong, not victims - but leaving the Forces creates particular challenges, which veterans need support with. These films were designed for social media, using a split-face visual concept to spark curiosity and jump out on users' timelines. We also kept them short and punchy to ensure we got across key messages in a short space of time. We wanted to be bold, creating a fresh visual approach, contrasting from more traditional charity films.
The key goal of the campaign was to raise awareness that the Royal British Legion provides support for veterans facing lifelong challenges after military service.
