Deafblind UK: Jean's story
Deafblindness affects more and more people each year. By 2029 it is estimated that nearly 539,000 people in the UK will be affected.
Living with deafblindness can be lonely and difficult to come to terms with. We produced “Jean’s Story” to raise awareness of the difference that you we can make to someone’s life by giving them a befriender, like Sharon, to take them out of the house once a week.
We hope our film will make you stop and think about the impact that sight and hearing loss would have on your own life, and the lives of your loved ones. "Jean's Story" also shows how much difference we can make when we work together.
