Daily Mile - The Poem

Media Zoo was tasked with creating a stand out advertising campaign to build awareness and momentum for The Daily Mile – the children’s health and fitness charity foundation. Awareness of the charity was low, therefore creatively two messages needed to be told. Firstly, explaining what the health initiative is and involves and secondly to explain the benefits of The Daily Mile which are thorough and comprehensive. In busy ad junctions, the TV ads needed to shine and create cut through. Most importantly it needed to have a call to action message while raising awareness with parents and encourage sign ups from teachers by directing them to The Daily Mile website. ‘The Poem’ (film above) was the second ad and was introduced into the media laydown after awareness had been built around The Daily Mile. The film took the messaging to the next stage by focussing on: the fun, enjoyment and most importantly benefits of The Daily Mile. In just four weeks awareness of The Daily Mile doubled and since the campaign launched in April, the number of schools taking part has increased by 100%.
