Camping Expedition with YMCA Adventure Guides
This video is a compilation of some brilliant moments at the Adventure Guides camping expeditions, which took place over summer 2018.
The YMCA Adventure Guides programme strengthens the relationships between parents and children. Families enjoy weekend camp outs, day trips and more, spending quality time with each other and building bonds of confidence and trust.
With support and guidance from the YMCA Adventure Guides team, families plan their own shared adventures and experiences in tightly- knit groups. We call these groups 'circles'. Circle members take part in activities together with the other members in their group; at our camping expeditions, they get to socialise and make friends with families in circles from across Nottinghamshire.
All families are welcome - these include biological parents, adoptive parents, guardians, stepparents, grandparents raising children, or any other type of parenting relationship. All are welcome and encouraged to be guides in raising children for whom they’ve committed to being a good adult role model.By safeguarding family values and nourishing important community relationships, this fantastic programme encourages healthy living, youth develop, and social responsibility, and will help to reduce homelessness.
Roll on 2019 - our camping expeditions will be bigger and better than ever!
