Booberang breast check

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, with 62,000 people being diagnosed each year. This video is part of a campaign to encourage women to regularly check their breasts and find what's normal for them.

The campaign had a focus on social media, particularly Instagram (asking people to use the Boomerang feature to film their own #Booberang). This is because a third of women don't check their breasts regularly, yet many make time for social media.

Many women say they do not check their breasts because they don’t know how. The video and wider campaign had the intention of showing people how to check in a light-hearted and visually engaging way.

The video features a diverse range of women with a diverse range of breasts because it’s so important that women, whatever their age, shape or size, feel confident about how to check their breasts and know what’s normal for them – it could save their life.

This video and campaign was created for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in association with Leo Burnett London and Ridley Scott Associates.
