Big Thank You Coffee Morning - June 2019
As times remain uncertain and with increasing demands on services, we wanted to say an extra big thank you to local volunteers this year and offer a few treats and time out, to let them know how much they are appreciated. The importance of all volunteers and the time and energy they give to their communities is invaluable. There are so many individuals and organisations relying on their support. Our Big Thank You Coffee Morning was a real effort of goodwill and partnership, including support from the Waitrose Community Matters programme which helped us fund the event. With the skills of professional film maker Tot Foster, who specialises in charity projects, we wanted to highlight the personal and practical opportunities volunteering can offer, what it can achieve and how Richmond CVS and the Richmond Volunteer Service is here to help. It was about, and for, existing and potential volunteers. Despite a limited budget, we hope the film conveyed the genuine pleasure that volunteering can bring, how people can be brought together and become positively connected with their community and how the Richmond CVS Volunteer Service is here to facilitate as best we can!
