Awa and the Shea Trees
TREE AID has supported Awa in Burkina Faso to change her life through the power of shea trees. In this short film, Awa tells her story about how she went from struggling to feed her children for two years and walking 10kms a day to find food, to learning how to make shea butter from the nuts of shea trees. With help from our supporters, we provided the tools and training so that Awa could come together with other women in her village to earn an income and lift herself out of poverty.
