Angelman Syndrome in one word - Angelman UK
AngelmanUK asked families, carers and professionals to give one word that represents Angelman Syndrome (AS). The soundtrack was created entirely from these words which we structured to represent a day in the life living with AS. We intended to encapsulate the full rollercoaster of emotion that families endure everyday.
This film is intended to give new families who have just received a diagnosis an insight into what life is like living with Angelman Syndrome. We visited families across the UK to capture their daily life.
AngelmanUK is the registered charity for Angelman Syndromea in the UK. The charity provides resources for support, education and research for parents, carers and professionals. This rare genetic disorder affects families across the world and is often recognised by the person’s very smiley and happy behaviour.
We hope this film will encourage more families who are left feeling isolated after a diagnosis to embrace the positives within daily life and have open expectations for their child’s future.
