An Adoption Story

Diagrama Adoption, part of Diagrama Foundation, a registered UK charity, is a voluntary adoption agency (VAA) supporting families across London and the South East. We focus on finding adopters for priority children – those who wait longest. This could be because they are older (above 4), have additional needs, have black or minority ethnic heritage or are siblings. With there being 4020* children waiting to be adopted our objective for this campaign during National Adoption Week was to raise as much awareness about adoption and the need for new adopters to come forward.

This video shows Diagrama adopter Sue share her touching journey through adopting her two amazing children. Sue and husband Dean always knew they wanted more than one child but after seven years of failed fertility treatments they’d almost given up hope. Having grieved for the loss of their dream of having their own birth children, they looked to adoption as their last hope. She talks us through her heart-warming experiences that she went through to find her forever family.

This video has been viewed over 41.5k times on social media.

* CoramBAFF Statistics - 4,020 children had an adoption decision but were not yet placed at 31 March 2018
