40,000 Strong | Tommy Lowther's Story
In the last 20 years, 40,000 wounded servicemen and women have been medically discharged from the Armed Forces, their injuries forcing them out of the job they loved and have given their all to. Thousands are falling through significant gaps in the Ministry of Defence's support. Every day this number continues to grow, and many will live with their impact of their injuries for life. We're on a mission to make sure no-one is unsupported.
Tommy is 1 of the 40,000 people. He tells his powerful and unique story to the camera, talking about his medical discharge, how it affected him but how he's come through the other side, thanks to his family, his own business and Help for Heroes.
