Coporate Cause Category Launches
A new awards campaign designed to recognise excellence in purpose and values driven brand advertisement and video has been launched by the Charity Film Awards, the world’s largest awards programme for charitable films.
The Corporate Cause Awards will recognise the best examples of video content created by brands and corporates focussed on causes, issues and charitable partnerships above and beyond its products and services.
The judges for this category form separate jury to the Charity Film Awards. They represent some of the UK’s highest profile public figures focussed on issues of corporate responsibility, diversity, inclusion and well-being. They come from media, entertainment, business, professional services and philanthropy and include Alex Mahon, CEO Channel 4 ; Sir Peter Bazalgette Chair ITV; Dames Helena Morrissey, Inga Beale and Julia Cleverdon, Lord Price, former UK Trade Minister & CEO of Waitrose and Sir Martyn Lewis Chair of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The winners of the awards will be announced as part of the Charity Film Awards Gala Ceremony in March 2020.
The Corporate Cause Awards are supported by ONE HUNDRED, Omnicom’s multi-disciplinary service collective which supports clients in driving social purpose and change.
Speaking of the new awards, Charity Film Awards, Founder, Simon Burton, said, “We’ve seen rising numbers of charity films in recent years with strong corporate partners and supporters. Brands are increasingly seeking to use their advertising and digital campaigns to speak of wider values. These new awards are the perfect way to celebrate that movement.”
John O’Brien, Managing Partner, ONE HUNDRED Agency commented,
“Long term businesses success requires building trusted relationships with customers, suppliers and investors based on key values and an understanding of what that business cares about. Increasingly film content is reflecting this; over and above traditional advertising of products and services. We are delighted to support these new awards which will recognise both the businesses making these commitments as well as the creativity of agencies bringing these values to life.”
